RS Accuracy
The RS Accuracy software computes and analyses error matrices to estimate the accuracy of thematic classifications. The software takes input from text files containing either map and reference data for reference sites or pre-made matrices, and then produces numerous accuracy estimators for the classification, such as percent overall accuracy, kappa, errors of ommission and comission, user's and producer's accuracies, confidence intervals, and more. You can view the software readme or download the install package.
ArcGIS Raster Accuracy Assessment Scripts
Lian Rampi of our group has developed Python scripts that perform automated accuracy assessment of raster data layers in ArcGIS. These scripts are currently being validated and packaged, and will be available on this website soon.
Latest MODIS Images of Minnesota
The MODIS sensor (Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer) is flown on NASA's Terra and Aqua satellites. Terra flies over Minnesota every day in the mid-morning, while Aqua overpasses in the early afternoon. Below are the most recent MODIS Terra and Aqua images. These images come courtesy of Trent Erickson of MinnesotaView, which is part of the AmericaView organization. Thanks are also due to Sam Batzli of WisconsinView for developing the infrastructure to provide these images.
